Being able to help people into a house they can make a home is what drives Bayleys Whanganui property manager Rochelle Mack. Although a sometimes challenging profession, being a property manager is a dream job for Rochelle. It is this enthusiasm and passion for what she does that rubs off on everyone she works with.
Rochelle came to property management after working for Ryman Healthcare for eight years, starting in a Housekeeping role and eventually becoming a qualified Diversional Therapist. This saw her designing client centred activities supporting psychological, spiritual, emotional, social and physical needs to help individuals live their best lives. She’s also been a full time mum – her biggest job and achievement yet! Both of these roles have equipped Rochelle well for property management giving her the skills of organisation as well as the ability to work with all types of people and, as a mum, the all important art of negotiation!
Rochelle considers that other key skills a great property manager needs are outstanding customer service and attention to detail. This, combined with the knowledge gained by completing her level 4 Property Management certificate and REINZ accreditation in Property Management, enables her to ensure that all regulatory requirements are complied with to keep both tenants and landlords secure. She is always ready to listen to her clients and see how she can best meet requests. Regular communication with all the different people involved in the management of a property, including landlords, is a priority to ensure success.
Rochelle is known as empathetic by nature and a strong problem-solver. Sometimes it takes creativity to manage a property successfully and as a great property manager Rochelle takes pride in always striving to learn new things and challenge herself further.
Outside of work Rochelle enjoys spending time at home chilling out with her husband and cats. She is a self-confessed cleaning fanatic so she loves giving her house a good going over at the weekends. She also regularly travels to Wellington to see her two daughters.
Rochelle is an important part of the warm and welcoming Bayleys Whanganui property management team. A hard-working bunch, the team has all the skills and expertise that clients could ever need and Rochelle is proud to add her considerable talents to the mix.
