Pukekohe CBD apartments offer buyers stake in key growth hub

A well-presented complex with 14 one-bedroom and studio apartments and 14 car parks is up for sale in Pukekohe’s town centre.

Conveniently positioned on King Street, the modern freehold strata-titled apartments and car parks currently generate a total income of $304,880.

Bayleys salesperson Shane Snijder said the fully occupied apartments combined contemporary design with comfortable town centre living.

“These architecturally designed apartments present buyers with an opportunity to capitalise on growing residential demand with multiple income streams, supported by hassle-free property management by industry specialists Quinovic.

“There’s also an opportunity for a new owner to add substantial value by selling off individual apartments,” Snijder said.

The property at 236 King Street, Pukekohe, Auckland, is being offered for sale through Snijder and colleague Mike Hook, of Bayleys Pukekohe.

It will go under the hammer at an auction on Tuesday 15 April, unless sold prior.

The building of approximately 617 square metres sits on some 814 square metres of land.

Snijder said the complex offered a desirable blend of functionality and style, with apartments providing open-plan living areas, modern kitchens with quality appliances, and sleek bathrooms.

“The living spaces offer a fresh and inviting atmosphere, while secure building access ensures peace of mind for residents,” he said.

The property sits within the Business – Town Centre zone under the Auckland Unitary Plan.

This seeks to provide a focus for commercial activities and growth, with permitted uses ranging from residential and commercial through to leisure, tourist, cultural, community and civic services.

“The property for sale offers an enticing opportunity for residential investors to tap into growing housing demand in the heart of this vibrant town centre,” said Snijder.

Hook said demand for the property, and for occupancy of the apartments, would be driven by Pukekohe’s status as one of Auckland’s most up-and-coming areas.

“In real estate terms, Pukekohe has enjoyed very strong demand for all types of investment property for a number of years. This is driven largely by a strong local economy and above average population growth.

“It is fast becoming one of Auckland’s most sought-after towns, and this property is located within an easy walk of all amenities.

“This thriving community hosts a wealth of local shops, recreational activities and events. Its new electric train station is a short walk from the King Street site and the Southern Motorway is a 12-minute drive away – making this an ideal base for commuting to central Auckland or the wider Franklin area.

“Investors are increasingly realising that now is a great time to secure a stake in Pukekohe’s future. With the wider area growing at an unprecedented rate and large-scale developments and infrastructure improvements underway, capital gains are sure to follow,” Hook said.
